The Dental Implant Process
The first step in the dental implant process for a single implant is to numb the area with a local anesthetic. Once you are completely numb, the dentist will precisely place a small titanium dental implant into the jaw. The titanium implant effectively substitutes for the root of your natural tooth and anchors the tooth to your jaw. The next step is to place a porcelain tooth (or crown) onto the post.
